Locke shows how his model works in the real world by applying it to David Garvin's study of sixteen Japanese and American manufacturers of air conditioners. About the Author

Edwin A. Locke (College Park, MD) has spent many years researching the ultra-wealthy and teaching a related MBA course at the R. H. Smith School of Business and Management, University of Maryland. He is also the author of The Prime Movers: Traits of the Great Wealth Creators.
