About the Author David Callahan has written extensively on American history, politics, and business. He is the author of four previous books, including the critically acclaimed biography, Dangerous Capabilities: Paul Nitze and the Cold War. His articles have appeared in The New York Times, USA Today, The Washington Post, and The American Prospect. Callahan has been a frequent commentator on television and radio programs.
