Highest Presidential Approval Ratings
IN the United States, presidential job approval ratings were introduced by George Gallup in the late 1930s. The Gallup Poll has ranked ten presidents by their highest approval rating. It is interesting and the results may surprise you.

 | Lyndon Johnson Highest Approval Rating: 79% (Date of Poll: Feb. 28-March 4, 1964) |
 | Franklin Delano Roosevelt Highest Approval Rating: 83% (Date of Poll: January 23, 1942) |
 | John F. Kennedy Highest Approval Rating: 83% (Date of Poll: April 28-May 3, 1961) |
 | Harry Truman Highest Approval Rating: 87% (Date of Poll: August 22, 1945) |
 | George H. W. Bush Highest Approval Rating: 89% (Date of Poll: Feb. 28-March 3, 1991) |
